Winona Ryder: "Mel Gibson Called Jews 'Oven Dodgers'"

| by Crazy Days and Nights

Winona Ryder is in the new issue of GQ. Nothing terribly thrilling about that, but she did get really candid in her interview, specifically when she started talking about Mel Gibson.

It all happened about 15 years ago when the pair were at a party and Mel, dead drunk, came up to Winona and had a few words.

"I was with my friend, who's gay. Mel made a really horrible gay joke. And somehow it came up that I was Jewish. He said something about 'oven dodgers,' but I didn't get it. I'd never heard that before. It was just this weird, weird moment. I was like, 'He's anti-Semitic and he's homophobic.' No one believed me!"

We all believe you now. Does Mel Gibson not have a self-censor button? What kind of a-hole is a person who comes up to people and says these things like this?
