CNN is coming under fire for running a segment on Wolf Blizter's show in which a reporter fact-checked a Saturday Night Live sketch. The sketch featured one of the show's performers playing President Obama, delivering a speech about how he has accomplished nothing so far in his presidency.
Fact checking is usually reserved for real presidential speeches, not for comedy shows. Writing for The Wall Street Journal, James Taranto notes, "'Fact checking' a comedy sketch is a bizarre exercise in itself"
