A man was arrested on charges of soliciting sex with a 12-year-old girl after police lured him to a hotel in Coweta County, Georgia, under the pretense he would meet the girl there (video below).
Ryan Salehzadeh, 25, of Fayetteville, Georgia, first came into contact with the pre-teen, who lives in Pembroke Pines, Florida, through the phone app Omegle, the Newnan Times-Herald reported.
The two exchanged a long series of sexually explicit messages, and at one point the girl sent Salehzadeh a photo of herself wearing only underwear.
After noticing their daughter was behaving strangely, the girl's parents searched her phone and discovered the photo and text messages she had exchanged with the Georgia man, police say.

When interviewed by police, the girl said she was in love with Salehzadeh and wanted to have his child. She also admitted that she had lied about her age, leading him to believe she was 18 years old.
Officers from the Pembroke Pines Police Department then took over the girl's account and continued sending texts to Salehzadeh while pretending to be her.
They let the man know the girl was only 12 years old, but Salehzadeh allegedly claimed not to care. According to investigators, he responded that he was "not one of those people who freaks out about age" and that "age doesn't matter -- it's just a silly number."
Salehzadeh then reportedly sent investigators explicit photos of himself, and expressed his interest in traveling to Florida to have sex with the girl.

At this point, the officers contacted the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to set up a sting operation at a hotel in Newnan, Georgia, close to where the man lived.
Police reportedly texted Salehzadeh to tell him that the girl would be staying at the hotel in Newnan while "visiting family."
Police say Salehzadeh arranged to meet the girl there for sex on Jan. 11.
Shortly after he arrived at the hotel, police apprehended him in the lobby. The man was arrested and charged with criminal attempt to commit statutory rape, aggravated child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes.
When questioned by police, Salehzadeh admitted that he was planning to take the girl to his home in Fayetteville for further sexual activity after having sex with her at the hotel, and that he knew that what he was doing was illegal.
Police found a package of gummy bears, condoms, and an emergency contraceptive in his bag, as well as what appeared to be sexually explicit photos of another minor on his phone.
He is being held at the Coweta County Jail without bail.
This was not the first time an alleged sexual predator has offered to travel across state lines to meet a child for sex.
In November 2015, a 15-year-old Ohio girl went missing after being picked up by a stranger that she met through an online chat room, the NY Daily News reported on Dec. 2.
Law enforcement later rescued the girl in the man's home in Missouri, where she had been held captive for a month.
