Spirit Airlines broke new ground in price gouging by charging people for carry-on luggage. Now it will charge you for your boarding pass.
The Associated Press reports that if you go to the airport and need to have a ticket agent print out your boarding pass, it will cost you $5. That begins on November 1.
You can avoid the fee by printing your boarding pass at home or using one of the airport kiosks. But even the kiosks will cost you -- starting June 2012, you will have to pay $1 to use them.
On the other hand, Spirit announced it is lowering fares by $5.
