If this list surprises you, that's because you're bombarded by liberals everywhere you turn in the media. It isn't just the obvious media, either. For example, did you know an Oct 2008 survey of professionals in the publishing industry revealed that 86% of respondents intended to vote for Obama? This is a shocking figure. What it means is that the vast majority of books that get published in this country are liberal books. This can include nonfiction or fiction, for even in novels it isn't uncommon for authors to reference politics. And nine out of ten times it's Republicans, not Democrats, who are bashed. The last two I read that come to mind are Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert and Tell No Lies, by Julie Compton.
Add to the publishing industry Hollywood -- a bastion of liberalism -- the mainstream media, and and the fact that liberal professors outnumber conservative professors on college campuses 10:1 -- and it's no wonder everyday Americans feel as though we're a dying breed.
We're not a dying breed. We just don't have the microphone.

With the left going so left that you can see there lias before there finished talking.It is no wonder fox news is growing so fast.
I for one think there should be a fine for ever false statement the media says.Then maybe the truth will get told.
If there was a fine for mistruths, misspeaks, or outright lies, there would be no news media on any channel. Unfortunately, they are ALL little more than entertainment for the gossip set.

Please forgive my immediate second post but I have a question that I would love answered. If the movie studios and by extension television media are controlled by Jews, then how is it that media is so liberal? I certainly mean nothing offensive by that question, and it is not rhetorical. I would very much like an answer. I am specifically referring to Hollywood and not the "news" programs.
If movie executives were so very concerned about the "liberal" bias in Hollywood, they would be the first to fix it. One could say that they are simply playing to their audience. I would argue that Hollywood creates the audience. People internalize what is put before them. There would not be the word propaganda if this were not true.
The media isn't controlled by Jews.

I am slighty embarassed on this. I make a point to not speak out of ignorance. I was strictly referring to Hollywood studios in my second post. However, for every Kaplan or Arnon Milchan there is probably a Buffett or Gates behind them. I will have to put on my list of things to research the heads of each of the studios. Apparently, the face of Hollywood has changed. I didn't even know that MGM was now Sony.

I don't take exception to your statistics. I do question their actual impact. I continue to hear how liberal and biased the media is. Let's take for example CNN. Often considered to be a bastion of the liberal media , it is becoming much more difficult to sense their left leanings. Certainly the loudest voices in media are right to far right. At this time Limbaugh is the crowned king of radio. Hannity, O'Reilly, Laura Ingraham, and Rusty Humphries just name a few of the heavily spotlighted rightist media hosts. This is not to say that leftists such as K. Olbermann have been silenced.
Perhaps I am at geographical "market" disadvantage. Living in central Kentucky, I have no radio options other than right to extreme right programs. So after listening to these programs, I then search the news on the net for some balance. When I use what are considered "reliable" new sources, there is not enough of a swing left to even bring those opinions back to center.
I will absolutely grant that Hollywood produces liberal films. And perhaps it is true to say that there are more liberal professors, although 10:1 sounds skewed. But to say that the right does not have the microphone is simply not true.
