Down & Dirty w/ Stacey Brass

This is a Yogamaya signature class where we work DEEPLY on specific movement types that are down on the ground, like Virasana prep & deeper variations, Padmasana prep & deeper variations, Supta-Padangustasana variations, seated twists, etc.  We are excited to offer this, as we are passionate about taking it to the EARTH, feeling our BONES, directing our muscles & getting that other type of yoga HIGH where SPACE opens within you like a wild, vast, infinite field.

This class is for Level 2 – Advanced Level YOGIS who want to get DOWN, DIRTY & DEEP into their practice & keep it mostly on the floor.

The Yoga of Forgiveness

Sunday, March 20th | 6:15pm – 8:15pm

We are so happy to WELCOME Dhanurdhara Swami back from India to continue his Monthly Talks at Yogamaya!

Yoga means to quell the mind. One of the most powerful emotions that disturbs the mind and forces our consciousness away from pure awareness is enmity. It manifests in many forms such an envy and criticism. Perhaps the most powerful forms of enmity are feelings of resentment and the desire for revenge, as there often seems to be a justification for it when one has been hurt. Dhanurdhara Swami will discuss forgiveness and explore the possibilities of overcoming deep resentment from the standpoint of yoga psychology.
