New Study: Eating Meat Can Double the Risk of Bladder Cancer

| by PETA

Just in time for barbecue season comes a new study showing that eating lots of meat, especially charred meat, doubles the risk of bladder cancer. Even eating grilled fish and chicken can significantly increase the odds.

Other studies have already shown that eating grilled meat can cause pancreatic cancer. Kind of makes a few ants and some clouds seem like trivial problems, huh?

So, given that charred meats form cancer-causing chemicals and undercooked meats can cause food poisoning, you might want to grill some mouthwatering veggies and mock meats at your next gathering. You don't want to kill your guests—or animals—you know?
