Medical Marijuana Dispensary Fire Bombed in Montana

| by Mark Berman Opposing Views

The City Council in Billings, Montana is set to vote Monday night on whether to place a moratorium on medical marijuana businesses in the city. Well, someone is trying to influence that vote.

For the second time in two days, someone threw a Molotov cocktail through the window of a marijuana dispensary, with a spray-painted message that said, "NOT IN OUR TOWN" left on the storefront.

In this latest incident early Monday morning, Billings police Sgt. Kevin Iffland said a rock was used to break the glass of the store, called Montana Therapeutics, and a beer bottle filled with gasoline was ignited and thrown inside. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire. No one was injured.

About 24 hours earlier, someone poured flammable liquid over a rock, lit it on fire and threw it through a window of a different medical marijuana business. The same message was spray-painted on the front of that business.
