Yazidi Women Seek Revenge On ISIS

This all female combat unit is seeking revenge on ISIS. The homes of these women were destroyed when ISIS raided the Iraqi town of Sinjar in 2014. After ISIS militants raped and tortured women in their community, these Yazidis took up arms to fight for themselves. Commander Haseba Nauzad says, "There is no difference between a man and a woman. If a man can carry a weapon, a woman can do the same." ISIS fighters believe that if they are killed by women, they will not go to heaven. For the 30+ fighters in this combat unit, Defeating ISIS on the battlefield is simply a matter of justice.
