Teen Carries Brother Over 111 Miles To Raise Awareness For Cerebral Palsy

Boy carries brother 111 miles to raise awareness for cerebral palsy. Hunter carried Braden from Bedford High School to the Michigan state capitol. A journey that took 5 days to complete, and ended with Braden using his walker to walk the last half mile by himself. Hunter says, "Our goal is to inform the world and challenge the world at all levels to take the necessary steps toward inclusion. Braden was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a baby.The 9­-year-­old faces challenges from the disease every day of his life. Braden says, “I wish that people would realize that people with CP are just like other people. They just have to work a little bit harder.” ­The way he continues to face those challenges inspires his whole family, and now Braden and his family have inspired us.
