Victory for L.A. School Desegregation

| by BAMN

BAMN scored a victory defending Brown v. Board of Education in Los Angeles! On December 19, the California appeals court ruled to uphold the Los Angeles Unified School District's (LAUSD's) voluntary magnet school and desegregation plan and threw out a right-wing challenge from Ward Connerly and the "American Civil RIghts Foundation." BAMN had mobilized hundreds of students to court hearings and won the right to be a party in the case representing 300+ LA students and parents, once again demonstrating that building the new civil rights movement is how we will win in the courts.
