Michael Vick was Involved in Confrontation Before Shooting

| by Off The Record

Every time we think this story is over and done with, more information comes out. A couple of days ago, the Virginia Beach police said that the case involving the shooting at Guadalajara restaurant that followed Michael Vick’s 30th birthday party was closed. Then the DA’s office came out and said that that isn’t exactly true.

Now, it seems like the Philadelphia Eagles QB may have been somewhat involved. Not necessarily in the shooting, but Commonwealth’s Attorney Harvey L. Bryant says that Vick was involved in a confrontation with some people just minutes before the shooting of Quanis Phillips occurred.

“The investigation shows he was not physically present when the shooting took place,” said Bryant. “There were some confrontations between individuals and between groups and Michael Vick was involved in one of those confrontations.”

“[It was] a confrontation that involved shouting, words passing, some bumping.”

Bryant said that Vick was escorted into the limousine by some friends, but he was so agitated that he got back out again.

“In terms of just using good judgment, at one point, he got in the limousine, and should have left at that point. He got out of the limousine, and with the help of several friends, he was returned to to the limousine and left,” said Bryant.

Police say they know who the trigger man is in this whole case, but because everyone (including the dude who was shot) is so uncooperative, they can’t file charges.

As for Vick…this isn’t good. People will make excuses for him and say that he still didn’t do anything wrong other than go out for his birthday and get into an argument. He didn’t shoot anybody, blah blah blah. The point is, this is exactly the type of situation that he can’t be involved in.

We’re pretty sure that the likes of Andy Reid, Roger Goodell and Joe Banner are all watching this very closely. Vick can’t afford any more bad information to come out. Maybe this is all it will take.
