United Nations Declares Dictator Fidel Castro "World Hero"
The UN has declared Fidel Castro, the longtime Communist dictator of Cuba, the “World Hero of Solidarity.” Castro killed thousands and thousands of people during his rule, torturing some to death (including a few American citizens), and Cuba remains an oppressive dictatorship even today.
The award was presented to Castro by the President of the UN General Assembly, Miguel D’Escoto Brockmann. D’Escoto Brockmann also successfully lobbied the Obama Administration to demand that Honduras allow the return to power of its ex-president and would-be dictator, Manuel Zelaya. (Two months ago, soldiers acting on orders of Honduras’s Supreme Court arrested Zelaya after he systematically abused his powers. After the Court quite legally declared that Zelaya was no longer president, he was duly replaced by Honduras’s Congress with a civilian, the Congressional Speaker). The Obama Administration recently decided to impose sanctions on Honduras, and indicated it will not recognize future democratic elections in Honduras unless Honduras first lets ex-president Zelaya return to power.
Marxism seems to be back in fashion in Washington these days. Obama’s green jobs czar is the race-baiter Van Jones, a “a self-avowed communist” and Truther who believed that George Bush was behind the 9/11 attacks. Jones, who is busy orchestrating advertiser boycotts of Obama’s media critics, was until recently a “member of a radical communist group that was dedicated to ‘organizing a revolutionary movement in America.’”
The race-baiting liberal Congresswoman Diane Watson (D-CA) recently praised Fidel Castro as a genius who “kicked out the wealthy” from Cuba.
Many officials in the Obama Administration are sympathetic to Marxist regimes. For example, Obama’s appointee to be the FCC’s “diversity officer” is Mark Lloyd, a big fan of Venezuela’s socialist dictator, Hugo Chavez. Although Chavez has shot unarmed demonstrators, Lloyd has called socialist Venezuela a model, praised its authoritarian leader’s “incredible revolution” and defended his attacks on independent media. Obama’s nominee to be Assistant Secretary of State, Arturo Valenzuela, has a reputation as a loud defender of Venezuelan dictator Chavez’s terrible record on freedom of the press.
By contrast, the Obama Administration is extremely hostile to non-communist Honduras and its democratically-elected legislature, demanding that they allow the return to power of Honduras’s bullying ex-president and would-be dictator. The ex-president’s removal was perfectly constitutional, say many experts, such as attorneys Octavio Sanchez, Miguel Estrada, and Dan Miller, former Assistant Secretary of State Kim Holmes, and Stanford’s William Ratliff.

Now that the UN will assign an official, Mazlan Othman, for space affairs, which is long overdue, it needs to plan ahead. This new frontier presents some interesting questions.
* To become a member of the UN, would the leader of an alien nation have to be an intergalactic despot, or is oppressing his own planet good enough?
* If UN officials are bribed with currency from another galaxy, is that still illegal?
* If an extraterrestrial civilization claims they were here first, will all new construction on earth be halted?
* If there's a conflict between two galaxies and neither one is Jewish, how will the UN decide which one to condemn?
* If corrupt UN officials are tried and convicted by an extraterrestrial tribunal, can New York reclaim an empty building?

I think by now you realize it should be the Nobel Communist Peace Prize?
I can understand how idiots from other countries may think that this murderer is a hero 'cause they have their heads so far up their A** they can't see straight. But when someone from the US condones and even visits a man that has killed and oppressed his own people and takes every opportunity to insult this country, is unforgivable.
This is why this country is going to hell in a hand-basket. We tolerate this kind of people and even give them a platform for them to display their garbage. It's time that Americans wake-up and see what's happening to America...

was this event used as a starting point for an attack on the Obama administration ? This had nothing to do with the Obama administration.
As a side note, if you look at the roots of "social solidarity" it does fit into communism in the promotion of the classless working class. So, technically, one could say he did promote solidarity through a quasi-communist regime (he's not a real communist in the traditional Marxian sense).
Anyway, this is stupid. Typically UN meaningless garbage. They can't even get the worthless garbage right.
So instead we should declare G. Bush a world hero...after all he killed hundreds od thousands of people and he got the OK directly from GOD to do so!
Give Charles Manson the Nobel Peace Prize? The UN is representative of what is wrong with the world today. I can't believe all the morons who idolize Castro as if he is the icon of peace, love, and happiness. And the idiots, like Micheal Moore and Rep. Diane Watson who actually believe that he gives awesome health care to all his people. Give me a break.
Question: when was the last time you saw a boat full of people leaving Florida headed for Cuba? If it's so damn great, why aren't Moore and Watson leading the exodus? I sure as heck won't be begging for them to stay.
And I would help to put them on the boat.And pay for there one way trip there.
