The renowned Dusk Till Dawn poker club played host as 1,058 players entered the £500 UKIPT Nottingham main event over two starting days, creating a £529,000 prize pool with £109,000 reserved for the winner.
The event broke the UK attendance record of 848 previously held by the 2010 EPT London main event.
The tournament drew players from 30 different countries, hundreds of local hopefuls and even a few stars of the UK poker scene, including Dave Colclough, and Team PokerStars Pros Liv Boeree, Jude Ainsworth and Vicky Coren.
By Sunday night the field was whittled down to just twelve with Mike Hill holding the overnight lead.
They will crown a winner in Nottingham Monday.
