Girl Loses Family of 7 in Deadly Plane Crash

A family tragedy -- a Florida couple and five of their six children were killed when the small plane the father was piloting crashed in Alabama.

The Teutenberg family was on their way back from a family reunion in St. Louis Saturday night when one of the engines on the plane blew out. Fred Teutenberg tried to make an emergency landing at an airport in western Alabama but the plane crashed in the woods and caught fire.

The five children were between two and 10 years old. The couple's oldest child, a 16-year-old girl from the wife's previous marriage, was not traveling with the family and now must pick up the pieces.
