Restaurant Responds To Review Requesting Servers 'Show More Skin'

| by Emily Smith

After a customer posted an upsetting review on Urban Spoon requesting that the servers at Atomic Grill “show more skin,” owner Daniel McCawley responded in a clever way.

From now through Memorial Day, Atomic Grill will offer a potato skin special for $7, the proceeds of which will go directly to the West Virginia Foundation for Rape Information Services.

McCawley noted that he wanted to flip the negative review in a positive way.

“I’m a father of a 12-year-old girl and I’ve got five sisters,” McCawley said. “The way that women are treated is pretty personal as far as I’m concerned.”

McCawley said that so far restaurant-goers have responded positively to the menu option and that his Facebook page has “exploded” with support.

The negative Urban Spoon post has since been deleted.
