Christian activist Rick Scarborough recently claimed he was prepared to be burned to death in his effort to fight gay marriage.
Scarborough made his morbid promise during a National Emergency Coalition conference call this week (video below), noted RightWingWatch.org.
Scarborough began the segment by complaining about Christians being sued by gay activists, and mentioned a case in New Mexico (which involved a Christian photographer who refused to take pictures of a commitment ceremony because the couple was gay).
The photographer, Elaine Huguenin, lost the case in 2013, and the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear her appeal in 2014, noted The Washington Post.

So we know what's coming. We're simply being preemptive in saying, "No matter what the cost, we understand and we weighed the cost. We are not going to bow, we are not going to bend, and if necessary, we will burn.”
Last month, Scarborough compared Americans who support gay marriage to those who once favored racial segregation, noted RightWingWatch.org.
