Tiger Woods Blames Golf for Affairs

| by Oh The Scandal

It wasn’t me, ’twas the putter, gov: Tiger Woods blames golf for the breakdown of his marriage – because the game made him feel so self-centered and invincible.

Woods’ fall from grace barely needs an intro. He split from his wife Elin Nordegren last year after his string of ‘extracurricular activities’ were exposed by the National Enquirer.

And now, nearly a year after that infamous car crash outside his Florida home that kick started the scandal, Woods is opening up in a Newsweek (via Washington Post) essay about his downfall.

Last November, everything I thought I knew about myself changed abruptly, and what others perceived about me shifted, too,” Woods writes.

“I had been conducting my personal life in an artificial way – as if detached from the values my upbringing had taught, and that I should have embraced.

“The physical pain from that car accident has long healed. But the pain in my soul is more complex and unsettling; it has been far more difficult to ease – and to understand. But this much is obvious now: my life was out of balance, and my priorities were out of order. I made terrible choices and repeated mistakes. I hurt the people whom I loved the most. And even beyond accepting the consequences and responsibility, there is the ongoing struggle to learn from my failings.”

Blah, blah, blah, let’s cut to the chase.

Woods writes, Golf is a self-centred game. That self reliance made me think I could tackle the world by myself… The physical pain from that car accident has long healed. But the pain in my soul is more complex and unsettling…

“Opportunists are trying still to cash in on my troubles, no matter how irresponsible or ridiculous their claims may be. In many cases, I’ve never even met these people.”

Pah Woods, a bad carpenter always blames his tools. Enough with the pity party. We’re done.

Maybe Woods won’t be as miserable on Twitter. Yep, the pro putter has hopped on the social media bandwagon.

“What’s up everyone,” Woods wrote in his first tweet. Finally decided to try out twitter!…Yep, it’s me. I think I like this twitter thing. You guys are awesome. Thanks for all the love.”
