The Worst Restaurant Foods in America

Before you make that next trip to Restaurant Row, you may want to take a moment and consider the hidden dangers in some of your favorite meal items. Millions of people enjoy restaurant foods every day without realizing just how much fat, cholesterol and sodium they're taking in, not to mention the calories. Fox News reports:

...are grains and sugars, which the human digestive tract is ill-equipped to handle. Relatively high fat content diets are consumed by non-agrarian cultures all around the Earth, many of which have no incidence of heart disease, even among their most elderly members. This is a modern myth with no real science behind it. Its somewhat amazing that its still being perpetuated.
Where are you getting that information? I am not trying to be combative; I am just curious.
Well that's more than a fair question, the problem is where to start. Since a child of mine was diagnosed with an exotic syndrome, my wife (and I to a lesser extent) have pretty much had to do a tremendous amount of research, with the aid of specialists who are few and far between and are exceedingly expensive and not covered by insurance. I would start with this article by Marg Enig, who has a Ph. D. in nutriotional sciences.

Its not a news article and might cause you to become bored and totally disinterested if this isn't your thing. There is a lot of research, but it is not reported on in popular media , because its complex and, well, boring, so you have to rely on peer reviewed research, which is tough reading.
