Free fights, leading into more free fights are exactly what the UFC gave its fans today with the Ultimate Fighter 13 finale. Six fights aired on Facebook leading up to the five fight main card that will crown another Ultimate Fighter winner.
With the exception to one fight the Facebook preliminary card was action packed and highly entertaining. For those that missed the prelims, here is a complete fight by fight recap.
135 lbs.: Reuben Duran vs. Francisco Rivera
These two look to be on fast forward. Rivera gets two arm-in chokes early, that looked deep but was defended / muscled out by Duran. Rivera gets out of a guillotine attempt to end the opening round dropping some good ground and pound.
Rivera rocks Duran with a quick combo, but he is able to quickly recover. Guillotine attempt again from Rivera but Duran gets out into full guard, dropping elbows. Round comes to a close with Duran on the back of Rivera with the body lock looking for a rear naked choke.
Big takedown right onto side control from Duran to opening the final round and then he takes the back and sinks in the rear naked choke.

135 lbs.: Scott Jorgensen vs. Ken Stone
Jorgensen landing some solid shots early on but Stone is also countering them good. Stone starts to get the better of the striking and Jorgensen gets the takedown. Couple triangle attempts defended nicely by Jorgensen who then lands a brutal right from full guard that turns the lights out on Ken Stone

170 lbs.: Clay Harvison vs. Justin Edwards
Edwards comes out putting serious pressure on Harvison that enables him to get a takedown. Harvison gets up but is dropped once again by Edwards, who is on fire in round one. The two exchange submission attempts to close out the round.
Edwards is slowing down in round two and has been unable to get the takedowns he got in the first round. Harvison looked fresher this round and was able to land some very good punches on Edwards.
Harvison comes out throwing and rocks Edwards multiple times who really has nothing left in the tank. Harvison gets an easy takedown and is dropping heavy hands. Edwards gets back up and gets a takedown himself but Harvison quickly gets up. With 90 seconds left Edwards gets a takedown that might have stole the round and the fight……

170 lbs.: Shamar Bailey vs. Ryan McGillivray
Ryan had no answer for the wrestling of Shamar
McGillivray listened to his corner and comes out more aggressive with the striking in round two. Shamar gets another takedown and controls the remainder of the round, not doing anything major but winning the fight.
McGillivray lands a couple head kicks but gets sloppy and Shamar takes the fight to the ground again. McGillivray gets back up and is looking to make something happen but the wrestlers takes the fight down again and looks to ride the fight, “lay and pray” style
Shamar Bailey by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
145 lbs.: Josh Grispi vs. George Roop
Grispi gets the early takedown but eats an earful of elbows from Roop. Great defense from Roop defending against everything Grispi attempts, the fighters get back up and Roop gets a late takedown at the end of the round.
Roop puts Grispi down with a front kick and moves into full guard, against the fence. Roop pounded the face on body of Grispi the entire round and is winning the fight,
Grispi comes out a gets a takedown but is unable to keep the fight there or his mouthpiece in his mouth for that matter. Roop taking over again and drops Grispi with a body shot to the solar plex and the fight is over.

155 lbs.: Jeremy Stephens vs. Danny Downes
Stephens looking for a takedown early on and gets stuffed, then goes to the striking and lands a few bombs on Downes. Stephens hurt Downes a couple times but the last replacement is hanging tough in losing the opening round.
Finally Stephens gets a takedown and Downes looks and fails at a choke. Stephens puts on a very deep kimura that nearly snaps the arm of Downes but even while eating elbows his doesn’t tap and actually gets up. Stephens gets another takedown and ends the round there.
Stephens rocks Downes again to open the round and gets a brief takedown. Downes is showing great toughness but is getting worked over as Stephens picks him up and slams him. Another great round dominated by Stephens who ends the fight on top dropping bombs on Downes.
