Pope John XXIII

Eyes are the first feature I glance at. Be it almond, round or oval shaped. Colors are of many hues. Eyes are expressive yet filled with so much depth. They are intriguing and mysterious. They are playful yet innocent. Eyes are flirtatious yet inquisitive. They can be suspicious yet convincing. Oh how they can lie yet carry honesty with just a glance or a look.

"Those true eyes Too pure and too honest in aught to disguiseThe sweet soul shinning through them"

They express the emotions one is feeling. When in love the eyes gleam and sparkle like a diamond. Their lashes flutter playfully. In sadness they glisten like the river and their lashes hold onto the falling tear drop.

Look deep into the eyes of another and you will see their story what ever it may be. Their inner most  secrets, fears or dreams are revealed to you. Not only do they see beauty but they witness horror as well. The ugliness that they see is the silent truth that you nor I can ever imagine or speak off.

"Who are you going to believe, me or your own eyes"

Groucho Marx

"Every second I shut my eyes, it is him I see"

What lies within them only they know, be it the darkness of sleep or the macabre of death these beauties carry the secrets within them. They take with them the truth of the present, past and future.

"For I dipped into the future, far as the human eye could see,Saw the vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be"

Lord Tennyson
