Study: 32% of Young Americans Going on Social Media Sites While in Bathroom

According to a study by the marketing research firms Nielsen and NM Incite, 32 percent of people in the U.S., ages 18 to 24, say they use social networking sites while in the bathroom, reports AFP.

The report also found that 51 percent of adults between 25 and 34 use social networking sites in the office.

While personal computers are still the main tools for sites such as Facebook and Twitter, 46 percent said they used a mobile phone to connect online, while 16 percent used a tablet.

Facebook remained the most popular social networking site among Americans, but there was an increase of 1,047 percent of unique PC visitors to in just one year.
