PayPal Exec Resigns After Calling Manager ‘Useless Piece Of Sh--’ On Twitter

A senior executive at PayPal was forced to resign after repeatedly blasting management on Twitter.

PayPal's director of strategy, Rakesh Agrawal, tweeted that vice president of global communications, Christina Smedley, is a “useless piece of shit” and “useless middle manager,” Crave Online reported.

He also tweeted that another one of his coworkers should be fired.

Agrawal blamed the rant on keyboard issues on his new Android phone, but also said he hadn’t gotten enough sleep. He said he didn’t mean to tweet the comments but sent them as a direct message to a colleague.

The website issued a response to Agrawal stating it has a zero tolerance policy for such behavior.

"Rakesh Agrawal is no longer with the company,” it said. “Treat everyone with respect. No excuses. PayPal has zero tolerance."

Agrawal argues that he quit before PayPal tweeted the message.
