A video (below) of a T-90 tank crossing a busy road has gone viral on the web.
The video was recorded on Saturday by a motorist and shows cars driving on a road in an industrial area in Nizhny Tagil, Russia, reports Russia Today.
Suddenly, a tank bursts out of the snow on the side of the road, before crossing and vanishing out of view.
The driver of the car, recording the incident, says: “If we hadn’t stopped, the tank would have run us over."
A representative of the tank maker's company Uralvagonzavod told the RIA Novosti news agency: “It’s those cars that passed the traffic lights as they were changing that broke traffic regulations. The tank was going past on a green light and had right of way.”
The company claimed the tank was traveling down an established route between the factory and the testing range.
The T-90 tank costs upwards to $2 million to buy, and more than 1,500 of them are in service around the world.
In August of 2012, a video (below) emerged of a Sukhoi jet flying just feet above cars on a road.
