The "Tweeting Bra" is a high-tech undergarment with a device in the hook of the bra that sends a signal to a cell phone that tweets on Twitter each time the bra is unhooked.
It's not meant to be a modern day chastity belt, but rather a reminder for women to do a self-breast exam as part of Nestle Fitness' contribution to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, notes BreitBart.com.
Maria Bacodimou, a popular greek TV personality, will be wearing the bra for two weeks, which will alert her nearly 150,000 Twitter followers every time she disrobes.
The hope is that her female followers will perform the self-exam, however, her male followers may get another idea.
The Tweeting Bra, created by OgilvyOne Athens, also has its own Twitter account, but is not on sale to the general public, yet.
Popular VideoThis young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.
According to The Times of India, Bacodimou states in a promo video (below):
We all have a monthly date with ourselves. The breast self-examination date. Some women though forget all about it. That's why Fitness introduce a new ally in the fight against breast cancer.
The Tweeting Bra. The first bra that can actually tweet! Each time I unhook it, the bra sends automatically a tweet. Reminding women of their breast self exam.
