Pictures of the new Samsung Galaxy S4, set to be unveiled this coming Thursday in New York, were leaked on a Chinese forum on Monday and could provide proof of the phone's rumored specifications.
Chinese forum 52 Samsung leaked the photos earlier today and they were quickly picked up and redistributed by The Verge, a respected tech website.
The photos suggest Samsung’s upgrade to a huge 5-inch screen and also speculate about the “Universal5410,” a 1.8 GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX 544MP graphics processor. A reporter at The Verge, says that “Universal5410” is likely a code name for the Exynos Octa 5410, which is an eight core processor that is believed to be at the center of the new Galaxy.
Samsung has been in a constant and heated battle with Apple to see who can produce the most desired smartphone. It is rumored that the S4 could have a 1920x1080 display and boast a 13 MP camera, in an effort to jump ahead of Apple in the smartphone war.

Even though the photos, if true, confirm some speculation about the S4, reporters at The Verge have cautioned anticipating consumers against believing all the information provided by the leaked photos. They reminded readers that the S3 was leaked several times, and most of the leaks did not contain all of the actual specifications.
