Apple has sold nine million of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c since last Friday.

These sales numbers blow away the iPhone 5, which sold five million in the first three days of its launch, noted the Los Angeles Times.

To be fair, this time Apple is selling two iPhones at the same time.

Also, iPhones were available for the first time in China at the same time the gadgets were sold in the rest of the world.

The more expensive iPhone 5s includes a fingerprint scanner, which was hacked over the weekend.

But that didn't hurt sales as the iPhone 5s reportedly sold three times as many as the lower-priced iPhone 5c.

Soon after the iPhone 5s went on sale at, the company said it was out of stock and orders would be shipped in October.

Resellers are trying to rake in cash by offering the iPhone 5s on eBay for as much as $3000.

"The demand for the new iPhones has been incredible, and while we’ve sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5S, stores continue to receive new iPhone shipments regularly. We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough new iPhones for everyone," said Apple’s CEO Tim Cook in a press release.
