Cell phones in some parts of California startled residents on Monday night with the state's first Amber Alert via text message, which included a 10 seconds of an annoying noise resembling a 1950s sci-fi movie.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the text message included the annoying noise (audio below) and details about a blue Nissan, but failed to mention what it was about.

California residents were not told that James Lee DiMaggio is suspected of murdering Christina Anderson at his San Diego County, California home (video below).

The remains of a child were also found, but the child’s identity is not known.

DiMaggio may have kidnapped one or both Christina's children, Hannah Anderson, 16, and Ethan Anderson, 8 (pictured).

DiMaggio is reportedly driving a blue, four-door Nissan Versa. His California license plate is 6WCU986, reported KTLA 5.
