Data from ComScore suggests Facebook users are opting to look at the site via their mobile devices in lieu of their desktop computers.

US mobile Internet usage from browsers and apps increased greatly over the past year while desktop usage declined.

Facebook has started focusing on its mobile app, increasing its speed and usability. The app has been the most used and downloaded social media app on Android and iPhones in the US since 2012.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, said, "In 2012, we connected over a billion people and we became a mobile company."

Facebook currently makes most of its money from advertising and games like Farmville and Cafe World, which use gift cards to offer exclusives.

The company is also looking to expand by charging people to message someone that is not on your friend list.

They are also launching "Graph Search," an easier and more effective way to search the site, but the function is still in its beta stages.
