The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act, S.909, is currently being considered by the Senate. It has already passed the House as H.R. 1913. It will expand current federal hate crime laws to include sexual orientation and gender identity. It has also been dubbed the Pedophile Protection Act because an amendment to exclude pedophiles as a protected class was struck down (select here for more information.

If passed, the law will also put clergy at risk of prosecution if they preach a Biblical message against the sin of homosexuality and someone who hears it goes out and commits a crime against a homosexual. Select here to learn more.

A few weeks ago World Net Daily posted an article about a letter I wrote myself to the United States Senate, urging them to protect my Constitutional right to free speech without being criminalized. Select here to read the entire article as well as the letter.

Fear the Lord and judge with integrity, for the Lord our God does not tolerate perverted justice, partiality, or the taking of bribes.

    So you say...

Prove your allegation. "Pedophiles" is your ace-in-the-hole since just the accusation makes questioning your assertion unpopular. I suspect you are really concerned about protecting your right to preach against homosexuals and are using pedophiles as a diversion. I seriously doubt this " law " would make pedophilia " legal ".

Make no mistake- you DO have a right to preach for or against anything, and always will, no matter whether you are right or wrong, or whether the government violates your right.

"Hate Crimes" are either REAL crimes, or they are not. Adding the word "hate" is pointless and stupid. Harming the innocent is always wrong, whether illegal or not.

    Pro-crime?

"... the law will also put clergy at risk of prosecution if they preach a Biblical message against [a] sin ... and someone who hears it goes out and commits a crime against a [sinner]."

So those who are against this bill, the alleged "Christians" feel its OK to commit crimes against sinners?

I thought Christian's "hate the sin but love the sinner." Yet it seems all Christian objection to this law is that it fails to protect criminals who would abuse/violate/ murder certain hated sinners.

Clergy can say anything they like, just as anyone can. The right to free speech is a God given universal right. It is inalienable. But some government's attempt to thwart this right. Patriots and God-people know that we must stand up against Leviathan and fight for our rights. We know that government doesn't provide rights, God does.

If one hasn't the stones to stand up to Leviathan and exercise ones rights, one maybe should move to China where he can be told what to do.

Myths about the Hate Crime Bill

First, the hate crime bill will require an act of violence be committed in order for a hate crime specification to be added to an indictment. So unless a pastor first preaches against homosexuality , and then the same pastor goes out and personally commits an act of violence against a homosexual, the pastor will not be charged with a hate crime. There is specific language in the bill protecting free speech rights and prohibiting prosecution on the basis of speech. The "pastors will be arrested" is a canard being spread around the Web mostly by the anti-homosexual lobby, who "forget to mention" that this bill will also protect women and the disabled.

Now, as to the pedophilia myth, the claim is being made that pedophiliacs will be protected as a sexual orientation. This is complete bunk, because pedophilia is not a sexual orientation, it is an action which happens to be a crime . The Act does not protect criminals, and does not protect anyone on the basis of actions, just on their gender, sexual orientation and disability.

If one wants to engage in honest debate over this topic, that's fine, but let's keep the word "honest" in the debate.

    FBI Report support Rick

    Read this:
    http://www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/hardtruth/homosexual_lies.htm
If these bills pass with hate crime provisions, homosexuals will gain access to millions of tax dollars to fund pro-homosexual recruitment programs in our nation's schools.

All of these bills contain "hate crime" language that is based upon lies and pro-homosexual rhetoric. Facts are irritating things that often get in the way of the homosexual agenda. The FBI's recent statistics showing how few hate crimes were committed against homosexuals in 2000 are irritations that will undoubtedly be ignored by activists. The truth has undercut their claims of an epidemic of hate crimes against homosexuals, but that won't stop them from attempting to gain special rights under federal law for their preferred sexual behavior.

It is our hope that Congress will carefully examine these new FBI hate crime statistics before being stampeded into other laws based upon lies and misinformation from homosexual activist groups.
