Steven Spielberg Had Megan Fox Fired Over Hitler Comment

The third film in the "Transformers" franchise, "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" will hit theaters later this month with one noticeable absence -- Megan Fox. She was dropped from the sequel to the sequel in favor of Victoria's Secret Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Now we are finding out why.

According to a report from, it was all because of executive producer Steven Spielberg and his distaste for Nazi imagery.

Fox took some heat when she compared "Transformers" director Michael Bay to Adolph Hitler. Bay said he didn't care, but when Spielberg heard it, he hit the roof.

“You know the Hitler thing,” Bay said, according to the Daily Mail. “Steven said, ‘Fire her right now.’”

And thus Fox lost the role that made her a star. She hasn't really been in anything of note since then. She even lost most of her "Sexiest Woman in the World" titles to a bevy of other "flavor of the month" girls.

Oh well -- it was good while it lasted.
