This could finally be the week where the Detroit Lions get Matthew Stafford back as their starter. Drew Stanton even had to get in the game last week because they had so many guys get hurt.
But, Stafford said on The Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday that, barring a setback, he’s ready to return to the field.
“I’m going to take all the snaps with the ones this week in our practice … and then, hopefully, my shoulder will hold up and react well,” Stafford said. “And if it does that, then I would say, most likely, I’ll be taking most of the No. 1 snaps leading up to the Redskins game.”
Stafford said that he’s going to go out and practice this week and see how his bum right shoulder responds.

“If it reacts well, then I’m hoping to be out there starting the 31st against the Redskins,” he said.
