According to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the San Antonio Spurs are looking to move Tony Parker. Their hope, apparently, is that they can trade their somewhat dissatisfied point guard for a high first-round pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft.
The same report noted that both the Toronto Raptors and Sacramento Kings have made inquires about Parker’s services, dangling the fifth and seventh picks, respectively. Both teams believe that Parker’s veteran leadership and experience can get them over the hump and into the playoffs next year.
According to ESPN’s Chad Ford, the Kings are also in discussions with the Denver Nuggets for the services of point guard, Raymond Felton. With the emergence of Ty Lawson last year, Felton became a movable component for Denver.
If the Spurs do opt to trade Parker, George Hill would automatically shift into the starting line-up. Wojnarowski did note, however, that other teams were also interested in perhaps trading for Hill.

After the Spurs were eliminated by the Memphis Grizzlies during their latest playoff run, Parker told French reporters that he believed his team’s window at winning a championship had effectively ended. Although he later said that reporters got carried away with what his statements, some believe that those words sealed his fate with the team that he has played for his entire career.
