Unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock for the last 20 hours, you’re probably aware that the U.S. pulled off a thrilling 2-1 win in their World Cup opener against Ghana yesterday.
Clint Dempsey got the party started with a nifty goal just 30 seconds into the game, making it the fifth-quickest opening score in World Cup history. As awesome as that goal was, the real party for the USMNT and Americans everywhere wouldn’t get started until about 86 minutes later.
