Bart Allan, a 48-year-old youth soccer coach, was arrested on Monday night after he allegedly punched a 16-year-old player in the face.
Following the conclusion of what was presumably an ordinary soccer match, a small brawl broke out among players from Conejo Valley United (Allan’s squad) and the opposition. Rather than running onto the field and stopping the fight, Allan instead opted to get in on the action.
According to KTLA, witnesses told authorities that Allan “hit a 16-year-old player from the Antelope Valley team in the face, causing injuries to his nose and cheek.” When later questioned about his role in the melee, the Conejo Valley United coach is said to have admitted to police that he did swing at some kids, but that he “did not hit any of the players.”
Which obviously makes it okay.
Allan’s arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 10.
