Whitney Houston’s extraordinary voice and unquestionable charm made her a permanent fixture at the world’s biggest sports events during the prime of her career. She essentially defined the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea with her rendition of “One Moment in Time.” Similarly, she gave a breathtakingly beautiful performance of the National Anthem in 1991 before Super Bowl XXV. In 1994, adding to her already lengthy list of accomplishments, Houston closed out the FIFA World Cup with a series of her greatest hits up to that point – including “I Will Always Love You.”
