U.S. soccer goalie Tim Howard became an overnight sensation with his record-setting 16 saves during the U.S. loss to Belgium in the World Cup.
Howard's fans have dubbed him the new "Secretary of Defense," while the real U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel invited Howard on a tour of the Pentagon.
Howard and teammate Clint Dempsey even got a call from President Obama earlier this week, reported USA Today.
"I don't know how you're gonna survive the mobs when you come back home man," Obama told Howard. "You're gonna have to shave your beard so they don't know who you are."
