The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship kicks off on Friday, June 8. That along with the fact that it will be hosted by Poland and Ukraine is about all we know for certain at this point.
The question of who is going to win this tournament has been batted around ever since the matchups were originally announced, but folks remain as divided today as they were then. Spain seems to the consensus favorite to repeat; however, betting against Germany never feels smart. France, England and Italy could be darkhorse contenders, but each team has at least one fatal flaw that very well could cost them the championship.
And as far as the rest of the field ultimately having a shot at stealing the title – well, stranger things have happened.
