Despite Slow Start to Year, Arsenal Now Rolling

| by

Arsene Wenger spent the first half of the season explaining the poor form of his side. Nobody could have foreseen the great form Arsenal would be plaing with just a few months later.

Arsenal is rolling.

They have won seven straight EPL matches and have a firm grip on 3rd place having raced past floundering Tottenham. Robin Van Persie has been the one constant this year, scoring goals in bunches. Lately others have emerged vto contribute to the winning streak. Mikel Arteta is settling in. Young Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been a revelation and Theo Walcott has been in good form after a slow start.

"We have come through a very difficult period. We have learnt from that and must keep our feet on the ground and focus on the next game [at QPR]," Wenger said. "Let's first see how we finish and then we analysis it all after the end of the season - just see if we have the quality to maintain this consistency until the end of the season and then we can say: 'Okay, look'.

League leaders Manchester City are coming to town after a trip to QPR next weekend. Arsenal could have a huge say in who wins the title as they could ruin City's season.
