Both Manchester Sides Seem to be Keeping the Pace

| by

Who is going to flinch first? With only eleven EPL matches left in the regular season Man U and Man City are running away with the title race. Tottenham has fallen off the pace and nobody else is remotely in range. It is clearly going to be a Mancherster Spring in England this year.  Will it belong to City or United?

Manchester United passed a huge test on Sunday as they traveled to White Hart Lane and took out 3rd place Tottenham 3-1 behind a pair of Ashley Young goals. Wayne Rooney opened the scoring as United ran out to a 3-0 lead before a late Spurs consolation goal.

Manchester City has also been rolling along against a soft stretch in the schedule. Shutout wins over Blackburn, Bolton and Aston Villa have offered little testing.

The schedule sets up nicely for Man U as they face West Brom, Wolves and Fulham and Blackburn in their next four. The City schedule is a bit more tricky as they face away to Swansea, Sunderland, a stirred up Chelsea side and Arsenal. Everything points to the huge Manchester Derby on April 30th at Etihad Stadium where the title might be decided once and for all.
