Video: McKayla Maroney Talks Fierce Five, Olympic Experience, Future Plans and More

| by Alex Groberman

The Fierce Five were without a doubt the biggest American stars to emerge from the 2012 London Olympics. Sure, Ryan Lochte had his moment in the sun and Michael Phelps is always going to be Michael Phelps, however, all things considered, it’s hard to envision anyone outside of the already-famous men’s basketball team having the sort of post-Games public presence that the U.S. women’s gymnastics team has had.

Although all five members of the squad have made an assortment of appearances in recent weeks, the two who have really been out there the most have been McKayla Maroney and Gabby Douglas. Recently, Maroney took a few minutes out of her schedule to talk about all things Olympics, Fierce Five and much more with Dominique Dawes.

Check it out:

All five girls are scheduled to present at the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday, Sept. 6
