Sports fans tend to have really mixed opinions on ESPN personalities. Most of the Around The Horn and Pardon The Interruption guys (with the notable exception of Woody Paige) are liked. Most of the national radio clowns are universally disliked. Analysts of specific sports like basketball and football garner something of a mixed reaction. (Marc Stein is a fan favorite, Ric Bucher isn’t.)
The one guy on ESPN’s roster who almost everyone is cool with, though, is NFL know-it-all John Clayton. Recently, the good folks over at the World Wide Leader decided to capitalize on Clayton’s general popularity with this nifty commercial:
If this isn’t the best SportsCenter commercial to date, it’s definitely top five.
