U.S. Female Volleyball Players Choose to Wear Bikinis in Olympics

U.S. female volleyball players are choosing to wear two-piece swimsuits in London this year, even though a new dress code allows them to cover up, reports the Daily Mail.

U.S. team member Jen Kessy said: “We’re not uncomfortable in our bikinis. Growing up in southern California, that’s what you wear from when you’re a little kid to now in the summertime…This is the most comfortable thing for us to wear.”

“I’m not a sex symbol; I’m an athlete. What you see is what you get, there’s no airbrushing.”

However, Kessy did admit that sand “[gets] everywhere” and causes itching.
