Timothy Wolf, 65, was one of the most respected and well known basketball coaches in Indiana. Over the course of his impressive 37-year career he accumulated a record of 457 wins and 348 losses, and had the 10th most wins among active coaches.
Up until this past Monday, he coached at Martinsville High School for 25 years, won one regional title and had a career record of 305 wins and 239 losses.
The numbers are striking, any way you want to look at it.
So what on God’s earth would make a coach with those type of credentials have to hastily retire in the midst of building controversy? We can’t be sure. But him reportedly getting caught in a half-naked state with a teenage girl is probably a clue.

According to William Booher of the Indy Star, Wolf was charged with public indecency this past Monday after being discovered partially nude in a parked car near a public park. The arresting officer also found an unidentified 17-year-old girl in there with him; though, for what it’s worth, she was fully clothed.
Maybe it was totally innocent then?
The Marion County prosecutor's office charged Wolf with one count of public indecency, a misdemeanor that has a penalty of up to one year in prison and a fine of up to $5,000 upon a conviction.

According to court documents, Wolf was in a silver 2010 Chrysler 300 parked about 30 to 40 feet from a playground when Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer Jerald Nuckols saw him.
The fully dressed female was in the car's front passenger seat and could see Wolf with his pants unzipped, exposing himself in the driver's seat, as could the uniformed officer through the front windshield of the car, the court documents said.
So what’s the lesson here? Something deep along the lines of: stay away from teenage girls, creepy 65-year-old high school basketball coaches.
