Horse Racing Announcer Paul Allen is Either a Chipmunk or Was on Helium During this Race (Video)

| by Alex Groberman

Play-by-play announcers from football and basketball get a lot of love. Baseball and hockey announcers, mostly because of their sports’ declining popularities over the past decade, get a little less respect. But nobody, absolutely nobody, gets as little love as horse racing announcers.

Presumably to draw some interest to his craft, Paul Allen did something interesting during this past weekend’s Extreme Race Day at Minnesota's Canterbury Park.

See if you can spot it (read: hear it):

The man is either half-chipmunk or decided to hit some of that good stuff prior to the race beginning. Either way, good for him.
