High School Football Team Runs Amazing Trick Play (Video)

| by Michael Allen

Crescenta Valley ran an amazing trick play against Harvard-Westlake last Friday during a high school playoff game in Glendale, California.

The “guard special” play was a sly handoff to left guard BK Kim, but the Harvard-Westlake defense didn't see it and followed Crescenta Valley's fake sweep to the right (video below).

According to MaxPreps.com, Kim took the handoff with his back to Harvard-Westlake players who fell for the ruse.

“It was nice to be able to see him score on that play,” Crescenta Valley quarterback Brian Gadsby told Glendale News-Press.

“I don’t think our defense gets the credit it deserves,” added Gadsby. “Our big guys up front, our backers, our corners, they all do such a great job. We have so many interceptions this year. We just have a great group.”

Crescenta Valley's defense allowed Harvard-Westlake only 61 yards in the first half.

Crescenta Valley won the game 42-14 and advances in the CIF Southern Section Southeast Division playoffs.
