A wild brawl broke out towards the end of a college basketball game between Emilio Aguinaldo College and Mapua on Monday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan, Philippines.

There were only 28 seconds left in the game when Emilio Aguinaldo College guard John Tayongtong charged into Mapua guard CJ Isit, noted

In response, Mapua player Leo Gabo gave Tayongtong an elbow. Moments later, both benches nearly emptied and the teams were brawling on the court (video below).

One of the game's announcers said, "We hate to see this in college basketball," but the TV network proceeded to replay the wild fight several times from various angles.

All the players were ejected and suspended for one game, except for Mapua's Jessie Saitanan and Emilio Aguinaldo College's Joshua General, who didn't join the fight, reports

Game officials declared Emilio Aguinaldo College had won 86-77.

“It’s an unfortunate thing that it ended that way. I’m happy that we won, but sad with the outcome,” Emilio Aguinaldo College coach Gerry Esplana told

“The referees weren’t able to control the calls,” added Mapua head coach Atoy Co. “Of course, tempers could rise. They were already ahead at that time and Tayongtong still hit Isit. At the start, he was already doing that."
