Aly Raisman’s Parents Behave the Way You Would Expect Them to During 2012 Olympics (Video)

Parents are a different breed.

Unlike their regular, normal, childless counterparts, parents have the unique gift (curse?) of caring so deeply about their kids that they actually feel for them. When they watch their kids do anything, you can literally see them react to whatever is happening as if they’re doing whatever their kid is doing themselves. It's pretty much standard operating procedure at unimportant, low-level events like piano recitals an school players.

Apparently it’s also standard operating procedure on the biggest stage of all.

Check out U.S. gymnast Aly Raisman’s parents as their daughter was doing her thing on Sunday:

Thankfully, Raisman performed really well on Sunday night. Otherwise we might’ve seen the other, less pleasant side of what devoted parents bring to the table at sporting events.
