2012 Olympics Video: Ryan Lochte Easily Wins 400 IM, Michael Phelps Comes in 4th

| by Alex Groberman

Michael Phelps just barely qualified for the 400-meter individual medley to start the 2012 London Olympics, and things only went downhill from there. A dual with Ryan Lochte in the final ended up being anything but as Lochte easily trounced Phelps -- and the rest of the field -- with a time of 4:05.18.

Brazil's Thiago Pereira took the silver and Japan's Kosuke Hagino took the bronze.

Phelps finished with a time of 4:09.28.
