2012 Olympics Video: Ranomi Kromowidjojo Beats Missy Franklin, Wins 100-Meter Freestyle

All eyes were on American Missy Franklin in Thursday’s 100-meter women’s freestyle, but she didn’t end up being the event’s big star. No, that honor went to Ranomi Kromowidjojo of the Netherlands who won gold with an impressive time of 53 seconds.

Aliaksandra Herasimenia of Belarus took silver with a time of 53.38 and China’s Tang Yi took bronze with a time of 53.44.

Franklin finished in fifth place with a time of 53.64.
